3D Holographic Effects for Product Presentations, Exhibitions and Concerts \u2013 Hologram <\/strong><\/p>

<\/p>

We are entering a rather complex topic with unclear potential, this is because we often talk about holograms or holographic effects, creating false expectations in a customer.<\/p>

<\/p>

Over time I have created various holographic effects for events, but the times I have been asked for a \u201cholographic effect<\/strong>\u201d with expectations outside of reality are truly countless.<\/p>

<\/p>

Yes, our logo appears on the screen, it does an animation and at a certain point\u2026. t comes off and starts to twirl around the theater!<\/p>

<\/p>

\u2026 Do you project on any type of material?<\/p>

<\/p>

\u2013 no, it depends on the material, if it is something special we should do some tests<\/p>

<\/p>

\u2013 we would like to project on nothing!<\/p>

<\/p>

\u2026 And then in the center of the stand a hostess appears with our product! Can she be made to rotate depending on where the people are?<\/p>

<\/p>

\u2026 And she can project my logo there! (pointing to an unspecified point in the fog)<\/p>

<\/p>

\u2013 where? it’s a bit dark and I can’t see well..<\/p>

<\/p>

\u2013 there’s nothing there! That way you can see better!<\/p>

<\/p>

Very often you can catch anomalies right at the start, but sometimes it’s too late\u2026<\/p>

<\/p>

\u2013 okay, but when is it coming out?<\/p>

<\/p>

\u2013 who? (hoping he didn’t mean the projection)<\/p>

<\/p>

\u2013 the hologram!<\/p>

<\/p>

\u2026 He came out in the end (from the project)<\/p>

<\/p>

Ok so, what can you actually propose and what should you be careful about?<\/p>

<\/p>

Let’s say that after having removed the words “twirl” and “suspended” from the vocabulary, at least for the duration of the presentation to the customer, you still have a good range of spectacular solutions to propose.<\/p>

<\/p>

The main techniques that we can use are 2, using a 45 degree film or alternatively with a special tulle screen.<\/p>

<\/p>

The first is very cumbersome (obviously if you want a good result). It allows you to see the effect from a frontal position, and is mostly suitable for concerts, fairs, theaters where you have several days available for assembly and rehearsals.<\/p>

<\/p>

Obviously we are talking about fairly large budgets, given that the film costs a few thousand euros per square meter and is essentially disposable…<\/p>

<\/p>

In addition to being disposable, it is also very delicate and must be positioned on special frames to be able to stretch and pull it as much as possible and consequently have an acceptable effect.<\/p>

<\/p>

The projectors to be used must be at least full HD and very powerful. Otherwise the effect will not seem real but semi-transparent, nullifying all the efforts.<\/p>

<\/p>

The second one is relatively simpler, it is always based on the projection on a screen and on the control of the surrounding light, but everything is developed with a particular screen instead of the film that \u201cdisappears\u201d in certain conditions.<\/p>

<\/p>

It is certainly the lightest choice both in terms of budget and in terms of commitment for the set-up, but the effect that can be obtained, if everything is carefully studied, is still very impactful.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

<\/p>

To recap:<\/strong>
– Current technology is still very far from the \u201cPrincess Leia\u201d effect from Star Wars, and consequently no holographic characters jumping around the room<\/p>

– The effect requires large technical spaces and a long installation time to be achieved, in order to be able to control both the point of view of the people and the degree and type of lighting. So we don\u2019t prepare anything in the morning for the evening show or we do it in that little space at the fair that has remained empty<\/p>

– The budget cannot be \u201csmall\u201d. We must take into account that the material is particular, the film is even disposable and the long installation times mean that the final bill is not the same as an installation of a traditional video projector and screen<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
