Event in Florence laser show lights and projections

The Stazione Leopolda in Florence, now in disuse, was chosen for a free interpretation of the last scene of the cult film “Blade Runner” (Ridley Scott, 1981) by the Italian artist Felice Limosani.

The show was called “Tears in the Rain” and had the aim of making the spectator feel at the center of the famous scene of Roy Batty’s final monologue in Los Angeles in 2019.

The graphic laser show is a real short trailer, where you can tell a story, draw a logo, reproduce a writing. The peculiarity of this technology is the ability to draw a bright outline of the image, as in the example below.

The special effects or volumetric laser show is probably the effect that most of you will recognize. In practice, they are light planes and volumetric effects synchronized to a music, soundtrack, which are enhanced by the ambient smoke with which we fill the environment. Do not be afraid to hear about ambient smoke, there are many types, from the lightest to the heaviest, therefore suitable for use both in the theater and at a concert.

It is certainly the most magical effect that the laser can create, they are often called “indoor fireworks” even if the laser show can also be created outdoors without problems, indeed the large dimensions multiply the effect.
